These samples are oriented to focus on the hook region of the spiral ganglion. SGN cell bodies reside in Rosenthal’s canal (RC), their fibers project to the two hair cell populations via the osseous spiral lamina (OSL). Fibers travelling below the hook region are projecting from the vestibular ganglion to the posterior RC.
