In 2021, the global all-age mortality rate was 0.81% [95% UI (0.58 ~ 1.04)] per 100,000 population. (B) World map of net drifts for AGN mortality, i.e., estimated annual percentage change of mortality from age-period-cohort model. Net drift captures components of the trends attributable to calendar time and successive birth cohorts. The global net drift of AGN mortality was − 0.66% [95% CI (− 0.82~-0.50)].
