Response surface contour plot predicting the cell density as a function of stabilizer combinations for days 4–8. Optimization of stabilizers concentrations was performed in a short-term proliferation experiment, where starch from corn (STC), recombinant human serum albumin (HSA), methyl cellulose (MC), sorbitol (SO), mannitol (MA) and inulin (IN) were applied in combinations at concentrations listed in Supplementary Tables 2 and depicted on the axes in g/L. Experimental setup is depicted in Supplementary Table 3. The statistics software R37 was used for the analysis of the normalized to B9 values. The experiment was repeated twice, both runs used for modelling.
