The data were plotted by gender for each of the three cities (HCP: Hochiminh, HHN: Hanoi, HHP: Haiphong) to evaluate the difference between cities. Median of height, weight, BMI for age (year) x was calculated by taking the median of height, weight, BMI of age (year) from x-0.5 to x+0.5, respectively (for example, median height for 8 years old was calculated by taking the median height for age from 7.5 to 8.5 years old). Confidence interval of median was calculated using nonparametric bootstrap percentile intervals using the “DescTools” package version 0.99.57 and the “boot” package version 1.3-31.
