  1. Continuous variables are reported as median [interquartile range] and compared using the Wilcoxon rank-sum test. Categorical variables are expressed as number (percentage) and analysed using χ² or Fisher exact tests, as appropriate. All data were derived from the first 24 h of ICU admission. Missing data were minimal and not imputed; analyses were conducted using complete-case methodology. Statistical significance was defined as a two-sided P value < 0.05.
