The estimates of total dissolved Fe concentration (mg g−1) used in the IMPACT model a with no organic ligand and b with oxalate under dark conditions. The red curve was calculated for combustion aerosols102. The blue curve was calculated for mineral aerosols94. The total dissolved Fe concentration was calculated as mg of DFe per g of the solid particle.
