Hovmöller diagram (time vs longitude, averaged between the 40°S to 70°S latitudes) of meridional (V) wind anomalies (m s−1, positive northward) at 500-hPa pressure level during 1–12 February 2022. Anomalies are calculated at each time step by subtracting monthly average value during 1979–2022.
