(a) shows the distribution of the contributions obtained by the three methods. The different points correspond to the mean of the results of the different methods and the line gives the magnitude of the corresponding one standard deviation. (b–g) denote the spatial distribution of the three methods and the two contributions, respectively. Positive contributions indicate that a change in the variable increases the SMJJA during the study period, while negative contributions indicate that a change in the variable decreases the SMJJA. The insets in the figure show the proportion of area occupied by positive (blue) and negative (red) contributions.
