Immune checkpoint proteins are present in the local cervicovaginal microenvironment. Local protein profiles are distinct in cervical cancer patients compared with precancerous and control groups. Principal component analysis (PCA) of immune checkpoint protein profiles displayed along the first two principal components (PC), with each point representing a single sample colored according to disease group (n = 78). Box-and-whiskers plots shown along each PC axis represent the median and interquartile range with whiskers between 10th and 90th percentiles and indicate the distribution of samples along the given axis; dots indicate outliers. P value for the first two components was calculated using MANOVA, whereas P values for individual components were assessed using ANOVA.
