The experimental data are shown as solid black lines. We analyzed the line shape by a dedicated fitting procedure. The two N 1s components of the spectrum are attributed to the wire (pink) and pore (green) regions of the h-BN layer. The envelope of the fitting curve is shown as red solid line.
