Colonoscopy can effectively reduce CRC incidence and mortality, but is contingent on a high-quality examination. Polyps that are diminutive in size (<5 mm), sessile in type and flat in shape are more frequently being missed during colonoscopy. To maximize the quality of colonoscopy, an automated tool is designed to assist endoscopists by highlighting regions of a possible polyp during colonoscopy.
