From: Rapid activation of distinct members of multigene families in Plasmodium spp

The plasmid includes a ~700 bp long single recombination arm of the 3′ end of the gene of interest (without stop codon), followed by a tag of choice, a T2A skip peptide and a neomycin resistance cassette. During translation, the growing amino acid chain breaks at the end of the T2A peptide, resulting in two independent proteins from a single mRNA molecule.
