Total crude extracts of the recombinant proteins of GlgA of Escherichia coli (GlgA_E.coli), GlgA–GlgB of E. lausannensis (GlgA-GlgB_EL), and W. chondrophila (GlgA-GlgB_WC) were separated by native-PAGE containing 0.6% (w/v) glycogen. The native gels were then incubated with 1.2 mM ADP-glc or 1.2 mM UDP-glc. Glycogen synthase activities are seen after iodine staining as dark bands.
