Differential expression analysis by RNA seq in 293T cells following HGF WT and HGF 4Cys-4Ala treatment as indicated confirms that core cysteines in HGF PAN domain are necessary for the expression of a wide range of genes. Responsive genes were normalized to FPKM value for non-treated cells and then normalized to HGF WT treated cells. Data represents the average of three independent biological replicates and *p < 0.05, **p < 0.005 and ***p < 0.0005 were calculated with a student’s t-test.
