Abundances of L. salsilacus 1A07893 and 1A07899 recovered from 40 global seawater metagenomes, including those from polar and non-polar regions, are shown. Differences between the average abundance of L. salsilacus in non-polar and polar regions were estimated by a two-tailed t-test, and significant differences were indicated by asterisks (**p < 0.005).
