For an ice-covered carbon Quantifoil TEM grid, images were recorded for different values of C2 excitation, which cause non-parallel illumination if not set to 48.6% at the chosen spot size. Pixel values are compared with their equivalent in the image recorded with parallel illumination. Even a large change to the C2 excitation (22.6%) is not enough to get a >1% error in measured fractional intensities.
