  1. Mice were injected with 200 ng of PTX on D0. Three days later the animals were challenged with the indicated dose of HA (mg dry weight free base/kg body weight) by intraperitoneal injection and deaths recorded as number of animals dead/number of animals tested at 30 min post HA challenge.
