ROIs were defined based a modification of the Freesurfer Desikan atlas, with the auditory-related superior temporal cortex (STC) areas divided to 9 smaller areas based on the more detailed Freesurfer Destrieux atlas (Bottom panel). In each subject, the surface-based atlases were resampled to the unsmoothed native functional space.
