A Siderophore production/secretion. Pyoverdine levels were quantified by fluorescence in culture supernatants and normalized to bacterial growth. B Swimming motility. Diameters across the zones of bacterial swimming were measured. Bars and error bars represent the means and standard deviations, respectively. The data represent the average of three to four independent measurements. One-way ANOVA followed by Tukey tests were performed to compare each mutT (T), mutT mutSβ (TSβ), mutT dinB (TD) and mutT mutSβ dinB (TSβD) line with the corresponding ancestral strain. Mutated genes from the pyoverdine and flagella pathways are indicated at the bottom of each MA line bar.
