Panels a–i show parameter estimates (corresponding 95% confidence intervals) and explained variance of each predictor for different fungal functional guilds from multivariate linear mixed-effects models (LMMs) (n = 30 biologically independent samples). Local factors include soil PC1, tree composition, tree richness, elevation and slope. Patch factors include log10 transformed patch size and edge distance. Landscape factors include log10 transformed mean of patch area (mean area), and patch richness. The significance was tested by p-value as *** p ≤ 0.001; ** p ≤ 0.01; * p ≤ 0.05. See Supplementary Data 1 for details and the exact p-values.
