PXN recognizes WSSV by binding to the envelope protein (VP28). PXN interacts with LGBP, leading to the nuclear translocation of AP-1. Activated AP-1 regulates the transcription of Cru1. Cru1 inhibits the assembly and reinfection of WSSV.
