Release of acetylcholine from MLR to medullar area activates M2&M4 receptors, reduces excitability of medullar 5-HT neurons, and slows down locomotor frequency. Acetylcholine from MLR activates M3 receptors, increases excitability of medullar 5-HT neurons, and accelerates locomotor frequency. This Figure was hand-drawn by us.
