We attach a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) pad on the coverslip with a square frame seal to fill the system with liquid medium. b Cross-sectional view inside the PDMS pad. A polyethylene terephthalate (PET)–cellulose bilayer porous membrane is attached via the biotin–streptavidin bonding. Note that there are two outlets as in (a).
