Each cell (size a x a) carries an anapole moment (black arrow). The pattern comprises 4 loop currents states where the anapole undergoes a 90 rotation between adjacent cells. c Loop currents pattern with a\(\sqrt{2}\)xa\(\sqrt{2}\) loop size, consisting in a 45 rotation of the d-wave charge density wave (DDW) pattern with currents running between Cu-sites. All models in ac reproduce the experimentally measured structure factor (Supplementary Note 2).
