For detuning θ = 5.25 and input powers ln(|Ein|2 + 1) = 1.0, for (a, b), and ln(|Ein|2 + 1) = 1.25 for (c, d), we show the field intensity evolutions over time, (a, c), and their complex phase-space paths, (b, d). Each of the four coloured lines corresponds to one of the four circulating fields U1→4. Computed by integrating Eqs. (4). Note that in (a, b) two pairs of fields evolve together causing two pairs of exact line overlaps, where as in (c, d) all four fields evolve asymmetrically to each other resulting in four distinct lines in each panel.
