Angular momentum contributions σℓ to the total photoionization cross section σ for several targets with decreasing symmetry. Calculations performed using UKRmol+ for single-channel photoionization from the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO, pictured) at the Hartree–Fock level for a photoelectron energy Ek = 50 eV.
