Extended Data Table 3 Comparison of Fitts ITR with prior work

  1. For Fitts ITR comparisons, values were taken from Fig. 1 in ref. 21 and from Fig. 1c and Supplementary Table 1 in ref. 2 using their respective methods for calculating Fitts ITR. For comparison with Silversmith et al., we averaged Fitts ITR across all blocks within each day, then averaged the ITR across day averages. For comparison with Gilja et al., we calculated ITR as the average index of difficulty (IOD) divided by the average time within each day, then averaged the ITR across day averages. This calculation used first touch time and Gilja et al.’s definition of IOD.
