Climate changes are rated as high confidence where the future outcome is virtually certain, rated as medium confidence where multiple lines of evidence support the outcome, and rated as low confidence where multi-model ensembles do not agree on future trends or where climate models are unable to replicate the relevant physical processes. The most common connections between climate changes and fire risk are through changes in fuel dryness and fire weather.
