a–o Total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), Na, Mg, Si, P, S, Ca, V, Cr, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, and Cd concentrations (mg kg−1, unless noted as %, which is equal to 10,000 mg kg−1, dry-weight basis) in sediment cores collected from the South (blue lines and squares, N = 20) and North (red lines and circles, N = 25) Red Sea. Smooth lines were constructed using the adjacent-averaging method using OriginPro 2022 software.
