Litter and non-litter derived C concentrations in dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) are shown after 60 and 120 days in panel a and panel b, respectively, according to different treatments. Values are expressed in mg·L−1. Values represent the mean for five independent replicates. Asterisks indicate significant differences between treatments (P < 0.05). Statistical significance was analysed using ANOVA followed by a post hoc Tukey’s test. BP = treatment with basanite and pea straw; BPEa = treatment with basanite, pea straw and earthworms added alive; BPEd = treatment with basanite, pea straw and earthworms added dead.
