The pressure (a) and temperature (b) precision limits are the values corresponding to the ±2σ range of affinity variations, which were calculated from 2000 random synthetic clinopyroxene and liquid composition samples drawn from a Gaussian distribution with synthetic analytical precisions (1σ/mean; wt.%) under experimental conditions. Precisions of each oxide are the same as described in Fig. 2. Solid lines indicate fitted regressions, and 1σ confidence intervals are represented by shaded regions.
