Other samples include LGM samples from <5 μm fractions for US, Chinese and Alaskan loess samples, GISP2 < 5 μm dust samples (from Biscaye et al.42; Svensson et al.45) and NEEM Greenland ice core <2 μm dust from Huan et al.14 (the averages are shown with stars). Modern <5 μm dust samples from Gobi desert are from Biscaye et al.42 while Sahara dust samples, Bodele Depression and Sal Island surface sediment samples are from Abouchami et al.43. Northern African soil samples assigned to different PSA are from Guisoveau et al.44.
