In this case, the ‘unknown’ setting (see Methods) was switched off, since more than half of the events was classified as ‘unknown’ (RI dominance is also seen when keeping unknowns, see Supplementary Fig. 5). Three biological replicates are shown as co1, co2, and co3. Flow cytometry was carried out with CytoFLEX.
