From: Optimizing ex vivo culture conditions to study human gut microbiome
Comprehensive rank of 30 cultures (3 media and 10 donors), which are ordered according to the DJS of composition, Euclidean, DJS of pathway level 1, variation of gene abundance from the original fecal sample (rank from 1 to 3 in ascending order), ΔOD600, Shannon index and Simpson index (rank from 1 to 3 in descending order), and calculated their average as comprehensive rank of each culture. The smaller rank indicates higher growth, similarity and diversity.
