Panel (b) shows that the experimental manipulation significantly increases agreement that God would not allow humans to destroy the Earth. Both manipulation check items used 6-point agreement scales ranging from “Strongly disagree” (1) to “Strongly agree” (6). Red lines on bars in both panels indicate 95% confidence intervals.
