Using the established optimal cut-off value for BMD from our Duesseldorf cohort (156.5 HU), a strong trend towards improved survival was found in the external validation cohort (Cologne cohort) (a). Combining both cohorts (combined cohort), BMD above 156.5 HU indicated statistically significant improved OS after resection of BTC (b).
