Chronogram is highlighting the implications for female astronauts regarding menstrual cycle suppression. An astronaut joining the 2026 Artemis mission and participating in two subsequent Moon missions by 2028 would require over a decade of menstrual suppression. For longer commitments, such as an astronaut involved in the Artemis program from 2025 to 2035, this could extend to nearly 20 years.
