From: Expansion of the genomic and functional diversity of global ocean giant viruses
Violin plots representing length, GC percentage, average nitrogen per sidechain, and average sulfur per sidechain were constructed to show differences between GV phylogenetic orders. For each order with more than 2 recovered genomes, a t-test was performed to see statistically significant differences in these genomic characteristics. FDR corrected p-values are reported here to account for multiple comparisons (*= p < 0.05, **= p < 0.01, ***= p < 0.001, ****= p < 0.0001).
