Although a spin component longitudinal to the magnetization direction undergoes a similar decay mechanism to that in a normal metal (middle), a spin component transverse to the magnetization direction generates another component due to spin-precessing transport (bottom). Here the yellow arrows in the middle and bottom panels are magnetization directions in the FMs and the gradual decreases in the size of electrons represent the decay of the magnitudes of non-equilibrium spins.
