We have used NS = 50 sites in the superconductors and Nb = 2NS + NN in both cases. The remaining parameters are identical to the main text. Jb for NN = 5 at zero phase difference ϕ = 0 is shown in red. The inset shows the sinusoidal form of Js, with a change in sign as a function of strain.
