The left panel in (b) is a type IA hierarchical structure with the spine of a V-shape belt and the right panel is type IB hierarchical structure with the spine of a rectangular belt. Numbers 1, 2 and 3 in (b), (d) and (f) mark single-layered, multilayered and multifid flowers, respectively. The scale bars are 100 μm for (a), (c) and (e), 20 μm for (b) and (d) and 10 μm for (f).
