Settings of the endoilluminator.
The endoilluminator is placed at the inferior part of the sclera and within the area where the conjunctiva has been prepared for suturing the buckle. The endoilluminator is placed at the 5 oāclock position when the retinal tears are identified between the 6 and 9 oāclock positions or between the 12 and 3 oāclock positions (A), while it is placed at the 7 oāclock position when the tears are identified between the 3 and 6 oāclock positions or between the 9 and 12 oāclock positions (B).
