Varied effects of gAD against cerebral I/R.

Neurological scores and representative samples of TTC-stained brain sections from (A) T1DM-2W and (B) T1DM-8W mice. Cerebral infarct size was assessed by TTC staining. TTC-stained areas (red) indicate viable tissue while the white area shows the ischemic region. gAD significantly improved the neurological scores and decreased the infarct volumes in 8 W DM mice but not in the 2 W DM mice. Data are expressed as mean ± SD (n = 8 per group). #P < 0.05 vs. I/R group. Scale bars = 5 mm.
