Honokiol blocked the TNF-α-induced NF-κB p65 nuclear translocation and inhibitor of NF-κB α (IκBα) degradation.

(A) Inverted microscopy of intracellular localization of NF-κB p65 (green) in ECs incubated with DMSO or honokiol (3 μM) for 30 min, then with TNF-α (10 ng/ml) for 15 min. Nuclei were stained with Hoechst 33342 (blue). (B) Confocal microscopy of localization and expression of IκBα (Red) and p65 (green) in ECs preincubated with DMSO or honokiol (3 μM) for 30 min, then with TNF-α (10 ng/ml) for 15 min. Bars, 10 μm.
