Interaction between vortices created by the Py layer and the applied field.
(a) Sketch representing the stray field induced by the Py layer in the superconductor. When cooling down below Tc, stray field flux lines are trapped in the Nb film and (b) antivortices (coloured in red) and (c) vortices (in blue) are generated at the Py borders perpendicular to the in-plane magnetisation. In (b), the antivortices attract and annihilate entering vortices created by the applied field, while in (c), both types of vortices interact repulsively.
