The SEM photos represent different groups treated with the lowest dose concentration of 4 μg/mL. (A–C) Worms treated with solvent alone (1% DMSO/culture media) displayed an unremarkable phenotype with intact bacillary bands, glands and cuticle. Worms treated with isomyristicin (D–F), bergapten (G–I) and mebendazole (J–L) exhibited swelling, undulation and loosening of the cuticle surrounding the bacillary glands and cuticular fissures. The red arrows show the affected regions when treated with the compounds and positive control drug.
