The wave has adequate energy of ~104 W m−2 to heat the solar chromosphere, which is partially transported into the corona (~103W m−2). The energy flux is estimated by averaging it over an area of the tube (−0.3 Mm < x < +0.3 Mm) around its central axis at each height.
