P48.7O19.2 (Meng), P42.5O15 (Fu), and P33.9O23.6 (Tiefeng) are three different cultivars of soybeans with varying protein and oil content. Seven seeds were averaged for each cultivar. The asterisk (∗) indicates significant differences compared with holes in P48.7O19.2 (P < 0.05; one way ANOVA test). The pound sign (#) indicates significant differences compared with holes in P42.5O15 (P < 0.05; one way ANOVA test). The bars indicate standard error.
