The y axis shows the negative logarithm of the observed association P-value for each tested SNP; the x axis shows the negative logarithm of the expected P-value based on a statistical sample. The red line is the line of equivalence, observed = expected. The blue line shows the Bonferroni significance threshold for multiple tests (0.05/658 581 SNPs=7.6 × 108).
