Fragile X-related protein 1 (FXR1) is a potential therapeutic target for ovarian cancer. Here, the authors show that RNA interference of FXR1 using a locked nucleic acid (LNA) form enables efficient inhibition of ovarian cancer growth and metastasis; single-cell RNA sequencing reveals the impacts on tumour proliferation pathways and the immune microenvironment.
